Since 2019 Fishers of Men, Inc. has adopted the Sister2Sister Initiative – Women Touching the Hearts of Women in partnership with Shalom Outreach, Inc., to provide handmade personal hygiene kits to school-aged girls in Africa.

Key milestones in this initiative include:

2019: 412 kits sent to Uganda; over 350 girls accepted Christ.

2021: 300 kits sent to Kenya; 254 girls accepted Christ.

2022: 200 kits sent to Uganda.

February 2024: 330+ kits sent to Uganda; 306 girls accepted Christ.

2025: A $500 donation was sent to Shalom Outreach, Inc. to purchase personal hygiene kits for distribution across Africa. Due to tariffs and fees, instead of making the personal hygiene kits, they must now be purchased within Africa.

Through this blessed partnership, Fishers of Men has been able to place more than 1,200 personal hygiene kits into the hands of girls in Uganda and Kenya. Yet the greatest miracle has been spiritual-nearly 1,000 of these precious young women have joyfully given their lives to Christ through this outreach.

The pictures below tell the story better than words: girls learning how to care for themselves with dignity, receiving the gift of health and hope, and most beautifully, lifting their hands and hearts in praise as they welcome Jesus Christ into their lives. Each radiant smile is a testimony that God is moving mightily-turning what could have been seasons of shame into pathways of purpose, victory, and everlasting joy in Him. “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” – Jeremiah 29:11.
